OH. Its finally Spring!

Good Afternoon All,
Where have I been? I do not know.....everywhere but Posting!
Sorry for the delay. I know you have been sad and waiting for a new post
so here it is.

Well today it finally feels like spring! yes spring has arrived in boston
but boston only seems to partially understand spring. First its RAIN RAIN RAIN
and then COLD at night and then 70 degrees. I will take the 70 degrees anytime.
I am like a cat. I love heat. I hate cold.
But if you know me personally you know this is the deal-io

Anyways
so tonight you must watch Dancing with the Stars.

Super Gorgeous!

hi there
so its almost time for easter in Boston
and its been a pretty cold few days
some parts of NE got snow . snow? yes. SNOW. Its april 5 in the
2008th year of our lord and we are getting snow in New England(NE)
well....at least south of boston where I live and breathe
got TORRENTIAL RAIN instead of SNOW.

So I guess I can tell you
DAVE and I are going on Vacation MAY 5-12th
to beautiful sunny SAINT MAARTEN!
We are so excited

Maybe i will wear a dress like this
if someone wants to buy it for me

once again....anthropologie speaks to me mentally
and artistically...but not finantially

Craps Scoops and Leaves: A love story

Our cat Sushi has finally been introduced to her long live love
of a AUTOMATIC LITTER BOX.
Do not ask us why we never thought about getting her this
lovely contraption in the seven years i have had her(four for daVE
SHE IS A joint asset in the marriage)

The thing is fancy
Its almost like a Bentley I swear!
It can sense when the cat steps out of the litterbox(motion sensor)
and then it turns itself on. First it filters the stank of poopy air
and then it magically scoops out the litter into an airtight bin.

GENIUS!

you can guess that this new investment of ours
has brought much improvement to the air quality that is our home.
Never again will we smell dirtiness..

oh wait...someday there will be dirty diapers.
anyways :)
maybe they will invent a robot to do that too

ha ha
just kidding
changing diapers is a joy of parenthood

Good Morning

Its a beautiful(sorta chilly) spring day here in Boston.
Please keep in your prayers my cousins and their darling child Riley
who needs all your prayers as he is battling some serious health issues.

Yoga has done wonders for me.

More fun than Froth and a wad of Meat!

Good Morning

So i took a chill pill yesterday and learned about this fun cartoon on CN. I have never been a huge cartoon fan...but i did love Jetsons,Flintstones, strawberryshortcake and smurfs. I used to also watch Fat Albert with my bro and it was FANTASTIC.

I have decided that even though this show has terrible marketing techniques that surprisingly are ingenious that I should probably check an episode out of it. Mainly i make this decision because how can you not like a wad of ground beef as a cartoon character?

Beef. Its whats for dinner. I like it that way.

Something about the premise of a cartoon posse consisting of FRIES, A shake, and a wad of rotten Beef trying to infiltrate a outdoor outground swimming pool in Jersey makes me snicker. For a friday I think this is a insane way to start off the weekend.alsoif i had a million dollars and a metabolism of the terminatorI would have nonfat extra dry cappucinos at starbucksand buy this duvet.come on someone! give us this duvet! Its fabulous and reminiscentof our honeymoon in Maui.

Has this world gone so mad that someone would use a pellet gun
on a harmless seal?

I am a true animal lover and I believe in protecting our species
of the world. It hurts to read this story but It must be read.

In other news.....
some ridiculous ad campaign made our city of Boston a psychotic hot zone yesterday
because once again Money hungry TV networks feel they must stop at nothing to promote
the evil we call America's reliance on pathetic cartoons. I could go on and on because I feel that in this day and age Television Networks have had way too much freedom to abuse the laws by placing insane marketing devices under and in major danger areas prone to attacks. Hasn't Boston been through enough? Hasn't every city been through enough?
I do not mean to drag this down.
But it just rattles my brain as to why this is so called acceptable to some major corporations
to market in an age like this with such a guerrila style. I think America is overstimulated. They cannot even drive their kids around in a car without installing TVS in cars. TVS IN CARS ARE WRONG AND I WOULD NEVER EVER GET ONE. People need to start caring about the world around them and grow up.

I am just tired of the hate
and
stupid reality shows that award average chefs with awards when clearly
the one that deserved to win was shafted...because maybe all the TEXTed voters might not watch the show if the foodie judges pick the person who does deserve to win because it is a
Cooking Competition

Kitchen Mystere!

Hi there
So its monday and I do not have much time to converse
but i would like to tell you about the book I am hoping to go score
at the Boston Public Library.
Normally I would go buy this book BUT I have been told
that I need to conserve money when it comes to cookbooks and things
dealing with my love of cooking. I recently purchased a wonderful cookbook
entitled: "Spanish Country Kitchen" It is wonderful and very
fun to read. I plan on trying to attempt FIG fritters and
Stuffed Oysters at some point. YUM-O!

Anthony Bourdain(the guy in the shot above) is a world reknowned chef
who risks his life to persue the great eats of the world.
I am anxious to read all about it.

GO to your bookstore or Library and get this book
try to read it between all the other things in your life
and comment to me about it if you may

How have you been? How were your Holidays?
Hope they went well. I was sick for a bit so I was not really up to blogging
I appreciate your concern though

I am back to being fancy and oh so ....you know....fabulous
I have not had caffeine in over 12 days and I think
it actually helps me stay on top of my nerves
I think i will go for it and try to live on less caffeine.
It seems to make me happier.
Starbucks decaf is so good too so I think i can keep up this new habit.
Dunkin Donuts should be outlawed. The coffee continues to disappoint me!

Audrey would not have anything so no class
so I am outruling Dunkin as of today

La Tortura Vendredi!

Ok that was a mix of Spanish and French for
Torture Friday!

Dance/Balletone was exemplary last night and my trainer
kicked my culo this morning. (That would be italian for
BEHIND.) I am FULL OF LINGUISTICA today!

Shakira Brung it at the Latin Grammys last night at NYC madison sq
I missed the performance BUT i think i can DVR it at some point
I love her duet of La Tortura with Alejandro Sanz
I was shakin my hips while driving to
wonderous accting job this morning.

I also scored a kick ass non fat gingerbread latte at
Starbucks Empire of Coffee today. YUM-MO!

ALSO if anyone wants to buy me a nice present
of the new fabulous travel coffee mug that looks like

Now this is what I am about!

Today is Monday. The weekend was pretty much fabulous
as it usually is because I get to spend quality time with myself
and quality time doing what I love to do.
Usually my weekend involves working both days
but this weekend was awesome.

First it started out on Friday. My husband and I got to do a
project together and then I had steak(yum!) and then we saw
The movie I have been wanting to see...."little children"
Kate Winslet deserves an oscar for this movie. Its a complex
movie that both amused David and I and intrigued us. The movie
is about living your life the way you want to. It was enlightening
and exciting and I highly reccomend it.

Second, I worked and went to two of my new favorite Gym classes.
First was the ultra intensity DANCE class where I shaked my groove
thing and then I lifted weights in Pilates Sculpt class.
(because....I am fabulous)

Third....We indulged in Sushi and Soba at one of my Fave restaurants
FUJI 1546 in Quincy. I had the best sour apple martini with Belvedere Vodka
and BOY did it rock my world.

Fourth....I am now the proud subscriber to DVR on my Comcastic Cable
and IT IS FABULOUS...If you watched the Flavor of Love reunion on VH1
you would know why I am saying FABULOUS so much

because

I am fabulous

and I kick ass because I take the Bull by the horns and BRING IT
(i also indulged in a leopard print calf hair wallet so I FEEL GOOD)

so tonight if my husband feels lucky
I might bake BROWNIES in honor of not having to work
on Halloween Night tommorrow and we can indulge in some
KICK ASS brownies and FONDUE

Dreams of Capri and Chartreuse Candles....

I dream of Capri
You say the word to me and i go off to a happy place I dream of visiting
before we settle down and have children.

My husband who is a very caring person is persuing his
dream of becoming a Physician Assistant. I am very excited for him
because I know it is what he really wants to do . I go between
goals on a regular basis. Some days I want to be a graphic designer(which
i already supposedly am) and other days I dream of enrolling
in Culinary School to learn the fine art of cuisine.

I do not want to own a restaurant but because I love to cook so much
I feel there has to be a way to combine my love for cooking and
preparing masterful meals for our someday children and their children
(if i live that long...hee hee)
Cooking and Italy have always been a part of my life.
Growing up I have fond memories of my mom by the stove
and my dad telling silly stories of Italy
You see, my parents are both off the boat
They worked hard to get where they are today
My husband works hard too to help us live a healthy life
Where am I going with this?

I dream.
I dream a lot.
I dream of a long beautiful journey
that will teach me things I never knew about myself.

I am inspired by the people around me
I am inspired by strange things such as candles which
intrique me to think how life is truly amazing.
If you think I am random then you truly do not understand me

Pondering while Lounging

Sometimes you have a day when you really do not want to say much
but you need to say something.
its almost september. i really dread september.
the weather gets colder and you cannot go to the beach.
i love august. this august has been ok
but somehow i feel like my life has been so backwards lately

it seems like the end of august brings on the serious
misconceptions you have about everything.
number one in my book to ponder is how to make
the most out of this two job work seven days a week kind of life.
i am getting really tired of this whole routine

the only good thing about upcoming september
is that:
1) good fashion is coming soon!
2) hot soup
3) no more bathing suits
4) no more shorts and capri pants
5) hooray for patterned tights and BOOTS!
6) hugging my cat for warmth at night instead of pushing her away since its too hot out.

is it Friday yet?

Being 30 deserves a Tattoo !

So.... while reading my usual daily reading of People.com
I came across this cool picture of Christina Ricci.
I think she only gets better with age( I used to think she was kind of dorky)
I do too.(get better with age that is)

Not only did this picture make me envious
but i think it would be pretty sexy to get a tiny
tattoo under my bustline

I have not done this.
But its an idea....one that i would need to really think about.
There is something about nice scripted type as a tattoo that makes me quiver.
Maybe this graphic designer in me needs to be revealed


Its pretty cool to be 30.
I think I am liking it.

AND AS AN ARTIST(yes i still am one..believe it or NOT)
I FIND IT VERY DISHEARTENING THAT PROJECT RUNWAY
WOULD VOTE OFF SOMEONE TALENTED IN FAVOR OF AN OLD FOGEY
WITH SUCH OUT THERE BEHAVIOR THAT HE CANNOT KEEP UP WITH THE TIMES

Oh yes...I am enjoying 30 so far...in case you were wondering

Today is a good day
I finally got to try Neptune Oyster in North End
IT was awesome and highly reccomended

Feeling like a Swan Dive ..........

Ok today is July 31
Tommorrow I swan dive into a new age group....the 30's
Its really scary for me
I like being 29
I like my brown hair
(a certain obvious part of my hair is suddenly turning a metallic color)
THAT IS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN YET

I know I should embrace 30
But it feels so weird to me

I am not going to pretend I am 29
that would be so passe

But is 30 an opportunity to let myself grow more?
30 is a chance to buckle down and be like....Make yourself a name out there!
Do something creative! Drink a glass of wine while i make small changes

NO not at the gym
NO not at work
I must develop myself as a new Creative Entity
I must prove to myself that I am that exciting person with shazam
Not only should i think of myself and cute and flirty
but
Creative and Thirty

Remind me this often...
and donate to my new haircolor fund

TO REWARD MYSELF I HAVE SCHEDULED MYSELF A HAIR APPT to get my
hair in BANGIN' shape for my vacation I leave for on Friday

Turning 30 brings me some new stuff:
A birthday cruise to Bermuda with the people who love me most
My husband, My mom and papa and my brother and his girlfriend.

Its MOnday and Its NOT torrentially downpouring in this part of the

Ok so I edited the Title because I do not believe in using Crass Language

Gym Thing is going well. I really love my regimen.
The new locker room at my gym is what I have dreamed of for a while
I have a penchant for decor and bathroom fixtures.
I am pleased with a lot of things right now.

I am excited for my cousin to have baby #3
another cousin of mine had a healthy beautiful baby boy
and
I am finally feeling like I am on my way to a great physique.

Did I tell you I love Big Band Music?
I cannot wait for Christine Aguilera to come out with her new Twin set CDS
My brother in law and his girlfriend are so cool too
Now if my office A/C would work correctly all the pieces would fit together

ADDED BONUS OF THE DAY: EPISODE 2 Tonight on Bravo----Project Runway
(better than sports any day.....except WORLD CUP SOCCER!)

Killing me softly

Hi all
Its friday and its Raining again in the good old beantown.
Interesting events have taken place in the last week.
First We moved to our new house in Quincy.
Second I frequented Dunkin Donuts for coffee more than i really wanted to.
Third, I finally got my kick butt bottom freezer fridge that I have wanted for a while.
Fourth I was mad that Taylor Hicks was not voted off Idol.
Fifth My favorite show, The OC made me angry by killing my namesake character off
Marissa Cooper. I am still in denial that they actually killed off the most
complex character on that show. I know my name is spelled Marisa but
when i was little NO ONE had my name on tv or anywhere else
NOW my favorite character is NO MORE
Seriously i think you think i am all nutso and loco en cabeso....but whatever

Do not even get me started on what happened on the Grey's Anatomy Finale
MCDREAMY cannot have two women
Addison deserves better
The vet needs dr. grey
enough said

I think tv show finales have put my emotions in a tizzy
BUT
they are just TV
and I need to get over it.

So when does the movie "the breakup?" come out?
anyone know?

I am writing a quick post today because things are hectic at work
Let me just say I am very happy to be looking out the window
and seeing the sun today
As you may have heard it has been one heck of a rainy few days(almost more than a week of nonstop rain)

I just wanted to say hello
and now I am a new resident of QUINCY MA
HOORAY
My new house is pretty darn cool
We get our refrigerator delivered tommorrow morning
YAY
I am lost without our refridgerator
(our refridgerator is a MAYTAG/AMANA so it
was detoured from the factory to Boston because
of the Heavy Rains and Flooding)
BUT NOW i just got a call and it will be here TOMMORROW

Sometimes when i am cooking i slice a bit of butter for the recipe and then
i slice a bite for myself

also when i was little we went to IHOP and the waitress brought whipped butter(which as a four year old would see looks like ice cream) so i grabbed the little cup and gulped it down.....my parents were a bit
aghast at that. but it was yummy
