THIS GOES FOR ALL DESIGN

I was once told by a teacher that the most important
part of design was to have a plan. The plan is to communicate to
your other team members how to carry out the final project.
CHLOE DID NO SKETCHES AND HAD NO PLAN
Although her stuff came out beautiful(in a way if you like Puffed sleeves)
You (Heidi et al) did not set a good example by rewarding
a designer who does not have a clear cut desire to be perfection.

I will contradict myself now and say
That chloe is a innovative person. I loved her color and fabric choices
but one thing is for sure

NOONE I KNOW WILL BUY THAT FIRST UGLY PINK SATIN 1980s dress
NO- ONE

but bring on the chocolate and turquoise colors

Good Morning All.
Because it is LENT and I am Catholic I am feeling kinda guilty.
I have been trying to bid for this duvet from Snottery Barn
for quite a while and I keep getting OUTBID.
SO I JUST GOT BALLSY and I BOUGHT THIS from Pottery Barn.com

I do not usually spend money like this
Because I am the type of person who believes in saving for a rainy day
Today I decided WHAT THE HELL. I AM BUYING IT. If i do not like it
in person I will return it. In the meantime...I am so excited

Also I am a rebel today because 1) its friday and I by mistakenly
brought TURKEY for lunch(on fridays during Lent you are not supposed to
eat MEAT)FOWL is considered MEAT. 2) I want to make my hair look like
Lindsays Picture here....god give me the strength to let it grow like that
so for LENT i am giving up HAIRCUTS. (also after buying this DUVET cover
I probably cannot afford a haircut for a couple of months.
3) I am gonna celebrate that i do not have to work at 7am tommorrow tonight
by drinking a Martini. Yes my friends I can sleep past 6am on a Saturday Morning.

Ciao Mi amici,

Today is a beautiful sunny day in Boston. I am taking my mood from the inspiration
of happiness in the form of rice triangle goodness. I found this image on OMNASTE Blog. It made me smile so I want to share my smiles with you.

Thanks to Giada DeLaurentis of Everyday Italian Cooking Fame...I am now obsessed with making Red wine Veggie Risotto....just like my Nonna used to make. YUMMY!

This weekend was fabulous. I had so much fun with my BRO and his girl and
my husband and my sista in law and her husband SKIING . I used to be a crazy skier when i was younger. Then i had a fall and then was afraid for YEARS to get back and have fun with skis. Let me just tell you....I could not have had such a fun time had it not been for the careful pointers and encouragement in gradually working on my Alpine Skills from my three best teachers, Joseph my ultra cool brother, David my ultra supportve husband and Kate my bros partner in crime.

Besides the fact that it was MINUS 7 degrees on the two mountains we skied. We had oh so much fun on Waterville Valley and Bretton Woods. Yes we skied in the White Mountains of NH. It was an awesome trip. We ate good Bison Burgers and drank Hynotique Ice Hotel martinis. Polished off TWO huge bottles of Yellowtail Hot Pink Cabernet Shiraz and Had a fabulous time freezing our derrieres off by climbing in and out of the OUTDOOR HOT TUB at the Resort we stayed at. YES LADIES AND GENTS WE MASSACHUSETTS FOLKS ARE CRAZY...We go in HOT TUBS IN OUR BATHING SUITS IN -7 degrees weather. THAT HOT WATER FELT SO GOOD ON OUR MUSCLES>

also we topped off the weekend by having a spa day at the Loon Mountain Spa. Oh my my skin has never felt so soft. I tried a citrus and blood orange salt and olive glow. Oh it was refreshing. My husband had a massage and My sister in law had a pedicure. Then we all enjoyed the steam room. Lovely.

Heres to a new fresh outlook on winter
when it snows....get your skis on
i think maybe we should try to squeeze in some more skiing before winter ends

I am starting out the day by sharing with you a funny and amusing story
from my night at work last night at the Kitchen Store Extraordinaire!

s0me guy wanted to buy his girlfriend an apron for valentines.....oh so romantic

but then he was like....you guys don't have nice quality aprons....where can i find NICE quality aprons

and i was like....i do not know...these aprons are good quality....maybe try macys? i was sure as hell

not mentioning the DARKSIDE....what kind of guy buys his girlfriend an apron for valentines day?

(maybe he thinks she will cook naked or something in it)

Ok with that I have to go do some work now

Good Morning all,
I know all of you are saying , " Marisa does not like Purple."
Its totally vrai. I do not like Purple.
I could make an exception for these though.

Its a beautiful day here in Boston. The sun is shining.
Its is also a lucky day. I thought i had a rock in my shoe
but I was in a rush to get to work so i drove here
and then when i got here I thought I would shake my shoe out
expecting a rock....what fell out instead was....TWO QUARTERS!
Fifty Cents! I am RICH! Ha ha ha
You know its your lucky day when you find money in your shoe.

What you can do with 50Cents(.50) in MA:
- Half of your car can drive on the Mass Turnpike One- Way on your journey
- You can buy 40 minutes at a parking meter in Bostonia
- You can buy a Reese Peanut BUtter Chocolate Heart
- You can buy 1/4 cup of a tall latte at Starbucks
- You can almost ride the bus in Boston
- You can buy a soda in a vending machine
- You can buy two donut holes at Dunkin Donuts
- You can donate 50 cents to church collection at church

As you can see....I am happy today.
The stress level is low.(and as you know I am 50 cent richer than i was before i got up this morning)
Its pretty pathetic that The auditions for American Idol in Boston
on tv last night were pretty darn sad. One contestant did look like
a poodle. Girl, get you some FRIZZ-EASE. John Frieda you are a
saint disguised as a weirdo. ANYWAYS....

Have you tried the new Starbucks Guatemala GOurmet Blend. Its a tad
bit more expensive( i will save my 50 cents for a nother pound of it)
It possesses slight chocolate undertones.

I would describe my mood as Chocolate-Hazelnut today.

Yippitey DO! I am so excited today...NOt just because it is Friday
BUT also because i have been WAITING to see this movie
and TONIGHT i get to go see it! Yes when you are pushing 30
and working seven days a week...You get totally ecstatic about Woody Allen Movies.
THERE ARE TOO MANY MOVIES OUT THAT I HAVE TO SEE....I would rather go to the
movies than sleep.
Still on the list of movies that marisa needs to see:
- BrokeBack Mountain
- Memoirs of a Geisha
- Hostel(looks good but still unsure)
- Cassanova(wait for DVD)
*there are probably a couple more but i am feeling brain-dead right now so i cannot think straight....maybe because the bills are due tuesday and i have a LOAD of paperwork and paper trails to chase down and conquer.

Now...about that Graphic Design....I want to answer a lingering question my friends keep hounding me about. ITS A WORK IN PROGRESS. I am trying to finalise my logo and get a cable to connect my ZIPDRIVE to my computer....I might end up buying a new ZIP DRIVE.....maybe that will make my solutions so much better....also i need to upgrade my operating system....so this is an ongoing process...as i make PROGRESS i will update you all. Now I must get back to work. As i need a job to pay for the computer stuff and all the materials that go into working on my portfolio..

I personally enjoyed the BLUE CRAB MAKI and the Avocado Salad
YUMMO as well to the joys of Shrimp Tempura Maki and Spint Tuna Maki
(NOTE: I DID NOT EAT ALL OF THIS BY MYSELF..I had a sharing party of 2)

Sushi makes me Happy
Perpetuating my transition to Freelance Graphic Design makes me happy too
